Who We Are

Nancy Stiles

Director of Engagement

Phone: 626-214-5433 nancys@gostars.org

A Pasadena/Altadena native, Nancy first began with Stars (then Lake Avenue Community Foundation) as a volunteer in 2005. A graduate of UCSD and UCLA, she is a former middle school math teacher and an adjunct math professor at Glendale and Pasadena Community Colleges.

Nancy found that the meaningful mutually beneficial relationships she got to be a part of at Stars resonated deeply with her, and she joined the staff in 2009 as a Mentor Coach, then managed the mentoring program before serving as Executive Director from 2013 – 2023. She is so grateful for the amazing staff team that makes Stars possible, and loves hearing firsthand how students’ lives are changed through the power of relationships.

An Altadena resident, Nancy has been married to her husband Adam since 1994, and have three awesome young adult kids. Nancy has also been actively involved with our community partner, PUSD, as a parent and public school advocate.

Away from Stars, you’ll find Nancy exploring the great outdoors, running trails in Eaton Canyon, traveling, hiking, stand up paddleboarding, cooking and spending time with her family and friends
