Who We Are
Carl Clark received a master’s degree in History in the fall of 2021 from Sam Houston State University. Carl’s specific area of focus is American and African American History with a concentration on Western American migration in the early Twentieth-century.
As a Social Justice Researcher at Stars, Carl will be tracking the history of Pasadena California in regards to the policing of People of Color. Carl will also be focusing on the historical as well as the ongoing challenges faced by POCs in the greater Pasadena area when it comes to institutionalized racial discrimination in terms of access to government services at federal, state, and local government levels. Carl hopes that his research will help to start a conversation and help with implementing goals towards remedying these issues. At the very least Carl wishes to enable future stakeholders in their efforts towards addressing these topics.
Carl loves Russian literature, traveling, and aspires to teach at the college level.
