The Staff of Stars
Dr. Phil Allen is a theologian and ethicist who researches and writes on theology and ethics of justice, healing racial trauma, and fostering racial solidarity. He is a recent graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Arts in Theology (MAT, 2017) and his PhD in Theology (2024).
Dr. Phil is a speaker, professor, documentary filmmaker, and the author of Open Wounds: A Story of Racial Tragedy, Trauma, and Redemption (Fortress Press 2021) and The Prophetic Lens: The Camera and Black Moral Agency From MLK to Darnella Frazier (Fortress Press 2022). Having pastored for over thirteen years, his passion is life-on-life mentoring to empower others to be realize the fullness of who God made them to be.
