What is a VISTA?

AmeriCorps VISTA is a program of CNCS, the federal agency that improves loves, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagements through service and volunteering.

Volunteer with our reading program!

Come and read to a small group of elementary school students once a week. Help encourage a love of reading while enhancing vocabulary and comprehension. Sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm.

Apply to be a mentor!

  • Develop an impactful relationship 
  • Give back to your community
  • Receive training, coaching, and support 
  • Grow alongside your student 

Join us as a high school group mentor!

  • Program is on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 om
  • Spend time with students
  • Enjoy a weekly dinner
  • Facilitate relevant discussions
  • Develop long-lasting, meaningful relationships

Volunteer as a high school student!

  • Read with students or help them with homework
  • As little as 1 hour per week
  • Have fun while volunteering!
  • Volunteers must be 14 years old or older
  • Get service hours for your school requirements
