Careers at Stars
Stars is looking for leaders who are excited to embolden youth to pursue a life of purpose, service and meaning and want to catalyze relationships that affirm and equip youth and their families.
We work toward seeing a thriving community where lives are transformed. Isaiah 65:17-25
What Is It Like to Work at Stars?
“I love working for stars because it is so open to the community and I love the amount of resources and assistance we have for our families and students. I love that I can give back to my community and work with amazing people who are empowered by how much we can do for our students and families.”
— Sabrina Cardenas, K-5 Program Leader
“I think it’s so cool that I work for an organization that values all aspects of a student and even budgets for college visits. It’s so important for us to be present – I really like that about us. We walk the talk in that way.”
– Amy Cardenas, College Success Program Manager
About Stars
Stars is more than just an after-school program. Our programs extend to mentoring, summer enrichment, college support, wellness, counseling and collaborative efforts that benefit the community as a whole.
The common thread is relationships – relationships that are years, even decades in the making. It’s because of these deep relationships that we recently expanded our programming in response to COVID to include wellness initiatives for families, new group mentoring initiatives, and the Stars counseling
program.
