The Staff of Stars
A native to Los Angeles County, Eric has served urban youth and teens dealing with trauma for over 40 years as a pastor/director/educator. “Pastors, mentors and educators reached out to me as a teenager dealing with abuse and molestation. They gave me hope and let me see my God-given value. I’ve been paying it forward ever since.”
Eric became part of the Stars family in 2010 as our Middle School/High School Program Manager and now serves as our Associate Director, providing oversight for our K-12th Afterschool Programs, Summer programming and partnerships. Eric builds support and advocacy within the Pasadena Unified School District community around systemic issues impacting vulnerable students and families by leveraging relationships within the faith, non-profit and business communities.
Eric is a graduate of and Southern California Liaison for the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative (DVULI) who’s mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged urban youth by investing in their leaders.
When Eric is not at work he can be found screenwriting, engaging all things pop culture, or soaking up the sun at the beach alongside his wife, Ana Maria. They have one daughter, Daniella, a graduate of USC with a Masters degree in Urban Education.
