The Staff of Stars
Issa Linda Arroyo is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, she spent a decade living in various parts of Mexico, primarily in Mexico City and the Yucatán Peninsula. During her time in Mexico, Issa worked as an English teacher, helping students of all ages build confidence and enjoy the process of learning a second language. After returning to Los Angeles, Issa served nearly eight years as an Early Head Start Home-Based Educator in South Central and Southeast L.A. In this role, she supported pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and their families through early childhood development, school readiness, and positive parenting strategies, with a focus on nurturing healthy attachments.
Issa is currently completing her Master’s in Social Work at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena and is expected to graduate this year. Outside of her professional and academic life, Issa finds great joy in raising her two children, Linda and Lennon. Issa
and her partner Cesar are also deeply involved in the Danza Mexica Movement. They are passionate about learning and sharing their Indigenous cultural traditions through canto y danza de corazón.
