Manisha grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County and has built a meaningful career in social work across California, including child welfare roles in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Diego. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from San Diego State University and has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2016. She has worked as a Clinical Social Worker and Education and Training Specialist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. With a strong passion for social justice, Manisha brings deep knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to her work. She worked closely with the DEI team at Children’s Hospital and had also founded a DEI committee at her children’s elementary school to amplify the voices of underrepresented families and students. Manisha believes in strong and empathic leadership and uses her skills to support aspiring social workers and students interested in community resilience and mental health. Outside of work, Manisha enjoys traveling and finds peace both at the beach and in the mountains. She values maintaining a vibrant social life and making meaningful connections wherever she goes.
