The Staff of Stars
Venisse Gonzales is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Arizona State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and is committed to continuing her professional growth as she works toward becoming a clinical social worker.
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Venisse developed a passion for assisting and advocating for individuals and families in need. Her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others inspired her to pursue a career in social work, where she is dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion and empathy.
As a social work intern at Stars Pasadena, Venisse strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. She believes in meeting clients where they are and uses a strengths-based, person-centered approach to help children, adolescents, and families build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful growth and healing.
Outside of her professional and academic responsibilities, Venisse enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s exploring nature or taking in new experiences. She also appreciates quieter evenings spent at home watching a good horror movie with family or friends.
