Who We Are
A Pasadena native, Nancy has been associated with LACF since 2005 as a volunteer. In 2009 she was named Mentor Coach and in 2011 became Manager of the Mentor program. Nancy also recently completed a 5- month Nonprofit Leadership Development Program through Center for Nonprofit Management. She resides in Altadena with her family– husband, Adam, and their three children, Lauren, Luke, and Claire. A life-long member of Lake Avenue Church (LAC), Nancy was active with the children’s ministry as a volunteer and staff member for more than 15 years. In 2005, she helped launch and lead the Teen MOPS ministry to young mothers, which became a program of LACF. Nancy has been actively involved with our community partner, PUSD, as a parent and public school advocate. A graduate of UCSD and UCLA, she is a former middle- school math teacher and an adjunct math professor at Glendale and Pasadena Community Colleges. As an educator and parent of school aged children, she is keenly aware of the educational challenges LACF students must overcome to discover and unleash their God-given potential.
Nancy loves to go trail running, cook (and eat!), hang out with her family and cheer on her children’s many sports teams.
